In 9th grade "business education" (a class that was visited by distinctly non-business professionals) (thank god!) I learned to enunciate and pronounciate [sic] my wordz. When did they begin such a regimen? Gawd only knows. Perhaps not in my father's day. But my father's day was also my mother's day, and she seems to do just fine. So, I ask you -- just what in the buttered onion are we spozed to do? Send in the burgliz or send in the burglars?

Hard to say, when the South sounds like wiggiz & the MidAtlantic like canned ham. I ask in this case, as in many cases, WWDLD?

That sounds like a word in Welsh, WWDLD -- translated into English, it roughly approximates "Bus Schedule".

To be literal, though, DLWDWDL does: Johnny Walker -- rocks or neat -- about 8 times! Oy!

Why are we sending in ne'er do wells anyway? These are burglars, not burghers, right?

Nobody ever said, "Send in the burghers!" You might send out for burgers (even, Lo, and veggie burger) but one doesn't open the door and expect the burghers to run amuck.

So much of American economic planning has been devoted to the location of burgers that it really boggles the mind. What if -- it had been something else, like apples or coins flattened by the train?

Riveting!

There is actually a history of (blue collar) riveting in my family, so it's quite possible that this clip is, as you suggest, riveting, even if you mean it in the attention-preserving sense!
